CHRISTIANSON, Anna Linnea (Anderson) Of Woburn July 25, 2010. Beloved wife of the late Richard C. Christianson. Devoted mother of Linda K. Christianson of Woburn, Donald C. Christianson & his wife Carol of Windham, NH, and David K. Christianson & his wife Kathleen of Mansfield. Loving grandmother of Karin, Jeanette and Jon Christianson and also survived by many loving cousins and relatives in Sweden. A Funeral Service will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer 60 Forest Park Rd. in Woburn on Thurs, July 29 at 10:30AM. Relatives & friends invited to attend. Karl A. Seaburg

SEABURG, Karl A. Of North Andover died Friday at Peabody Glen Center in Peabody. He is survived by his wife of 44 years Marilyn (Johnson) Seaburg of North Andover and his son John Seaburg also of North Andover.

He is also survived by a sister, two nieces and two nephews. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March ll, 20l0, at Faith Lutheran Church, 360 South Main Street, Andover, MA. The burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Scandinavian Living Center, 206 Waltham St., West Newton, MA 02465.

Ray M. Sanford Jr.

HAMILTON — Ray M. Sanford Jr., 93, died at home on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010 after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Sanford was born in Malden, the son of the late Ray M. Sanford Sr. and Abby (Frear) Sanford. He was the husband of Anna M. (Shuttleworth) Sanford with whom he shared 52 years of marriage.

Ray was a lifelong resident of Hamilton where he was a police officer for many years. In his younger years he was a member of the Boy Scouts of America where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He was employed by General Electric for 30 years as a machinist. Ray enjoyed driving a school bus for the town of Hamilton. Ray was a Sergeant in the United States Army and served in World War II. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 194 in Hamilton, the Hamilton Grange and the Birka Lodge of Hamilton. He was a professional organist and pianist.

In addition to his wife he is survived by four sons, Lee Sanford and his wife Pansy of Louisiana, Karl Sanford and his wife Christine of Salisbury, Ray Sanford III and his wife Alice of Florida and Robert Sanford of Danvers; two daughters, Gail Ashour and her husband Tahsin and Ellen Denis and her husband Albert, all of New Hampshire; nine grandchildren, Fuad, Joseph and Aleyah Ashour, Samira Arnold, Michael Sanford, Michelle Gargotta, Todd Sanford and his wife Anita, Crystal Crotty and her husband Steve and George Sanford; seven great-grandchildren, Aidan and Madeline Arnold, Stevie Jr. Crotty and Chandler, Jessie, Charles and Samantha Sanford. Mr. Sanford was predeceased by his first wife, Madeline Campbell and two brothers, Edwin and Donald Sanford.                                                                 

ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral service will be held in the Campbell-Lee, Moody Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St., Beverly (North Beverly location) on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial in Hamilton Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Donations may be made in Ray's memory to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or the American Cancer Association, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.


Charles Hawkes 

 


Charles Hawkes, 81, of Hamilton passed away at home Saturday, May 21, 2011 following a brave battle with cancer. He was a loving husband of Mary Anne C. (French) with whom he shared 59 years of marriage. Born in Lynn, he was a retired Navel Architect from the Portsmouth Navel Shipyard. He also worked at the former Boston Navel Shipyard. He graduated from Wentworth Institute in Boston. He was a member of The American Legion as well as The Swedish Birka Lodge in Hamilton. He was an avid gardener and had enjoyed skiing and sailing and spending time with family and his beloved cats. He served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict. He will be missed by all who knew him especially those who called him Charlie from his days at Terrace Pines Campground in New Hampshire that he was so fond of. He is survived by his wife Mary Anne C. Hawkes and his sons Eric S. and his wife Amy of Portland, Maine and Gregory V. and his wife Penny of Beverly, MA. He cherished his grandchildren, Tara E. Hawkes and Oscar P. Hawkes as well as his cats Athena, Tasha and Paws. Services are private for family only.
