| Benefits of Membership <---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> THE EDUCATIONAL FUND IS SUPPORTED THROUGH THE SALE OF SPECIAL STAMPS AND MEMBER DONATIONS. The members of the Vasa Order of America are very proud to be able to offer assistance in the form of scholarships and student loan services to qualified students in quest of continued education. THE EDUCATIONAL FUND also provides other annual Vasa Scholarships to worthy students, enrolled or accepted for enrollment, in accredited institutions for higher learning. PROVIDES monetary support to the CULTURAL COMMITTEE for promotion of Scandinavian culture. PROVIDES monetary support to CHILDREN'S and YOUTH CLUBS for understanding their Scandinavian heritage and enhancing cultural work. PROVIDES monetary support to VASA YOUTH camp activities in Sweden. PROVIDES scholarships to worthy applicants for Swedish Language Village participation across the United States. PROVIDES non-interest bearing loans to VASA-members in need of financial assistance to complete their education. |

| How to apply for membership You may apply for membership if you are fourteen years of age or older and meet one of the following requirements 1. You were born in Scandinavian country. 2. You are of Scandinavian ancestry. 3. You are the spouse of an active Vasa member. 4. You are a non-Scandinavian widow or widower of a Vasa member. You may request an application for membership in the Vasa Order of America by sending an email request with a message to Birka's Membership Chairman, Linda Christianson here! Be sure to include: Your Name, Full mailing address and Phone number. You will receive an application form by mail with instructions on were to send it once completed. Alternately you can view the actual form by clicking on the image to enlarge it. The actual form has 2 pages -1 is a copy of the 1st page as you write on it.
